Big Trouble in Little China

Released in the mid-eighties, this action-fighting game lets you guide Jack Burton, Wang, and Egg Shen through the streets of Chinatown and into Lo Pan's domain, battling the Storms along the way. Now, through the magic of of a C64 emulator (which turns your PC into a C64) you can download and play the game right now!

LOADING THE GAME:

• Create a directory called BTILC
• Unzip btilc.zip into that directory
• If you're running Windows 95, run the Ccs64_95.bat file
  by double-clicking on it. (Win 3.x users run the Ccs64.exe file)
• You'll see the good old Commodore 64 start-up screen.
• Press F9 for the Menu
  (Use your up and down arrow keys to navigate these menus)
• Select LOAD PROGRAM and hit the ENTER key.
• Select BIGTCHIN.D64 and hit the ENTER key.
• Select 113 "BIG T.I.L CHINA" PRG and hit the ENTER key.
• Select RESET and RELOAD
• Type RUN and hit ENTER.
• Wait a few seconds and the title screen will come up that says
  "(c) CRACKFORCE OMEGA" with scrolling yellow letters.
• Press the SPACEBAR
• You should see the Big Trouble in Little China title screen now.

PLAYING THE GAME:

I wasn't able to find any instructions for this game, so this is just what I was able to learn from a few
minutes of experimentation.

• You are playing THREE CHARACTERS. Jack Burton, Wang, and Egg Shen (who levitates around on some kind of funky disc.)
• To switch between characters press the ENTER key. The selected character will move out in front of the other two. You can also select characters by pressing these keys:
• PRESS B for Jack Burton
• PRESS C for Wang
• PRESS S for Egg Shen

HOW TO MOVE:

The number pad on your PC keyboard controls your movement. (Make sure your NUMLOCK is OFF!)

• 4 - Move Left
• 6 - Move Right
• 8 - Move Up (Jump)
• 2 - Move Down (Crouch)

HOW TO ATTACK:

To attack you have to press TWO keys at once:

• Press 2 and 4 to attack HIGH
• Press 2 and 6 to attack LOW

You can PAUSE the game by hitting the right ALT key.

THE OBJECT OF THE GAME:

To Kick LO PAN'S ASS!

Just keep battling your way deeper and deeper into Chinatown, collecting weapons and magic as you go. The scenery keeps changing. Make sure to watch each characters YING-YANG symbols. That is their health. When it runs out, they die. Switch a character to the back if they are running low on health.

Watch out for the monsters who jump out of the shadows on the second level!
