Jack's boot knife

Postby Mwinter » Sat Nov 03, 2012 6:00 am

Greetings fellow fans of one of cinema's greatest triumphs. I was here on the old forum and am back, hopefully with useful info.

Many of BTLC's fans are into martial arts, cosplay, and memorabilia. As you may know, Jack's boot knife in the film was a Gerber TAC-series (unsure if I or II, most say II), sadly discontinued and running about $200 each aftermarket on auction sites and knife-knut stores. It had a novel retention device in the holster, and the knife itself was well made at it's price point and for its intended use.

For those of you who don't need or want an original, Bear and Son have made a replica (Model 795, listed as TAC II so maybe Gerber's copyright was sold, expired...?). It's not the quality of the original, but nevertheless a working lookalike at half the price. I won't post links or anything since Search-Fu is so prevalent.
