I love going to china town, i love it when it rains and is all fogy..kinda reminds me of the movie ha. but was any of it filmed in SF China town..and if so..where?

Well, you actually see Grant St., so unless Carpenter actually built a town, I think some of it was actually fimed in San Francisco Chinatown, this fine warm day mmmmm.

u kno wut.. i think people from around this area, we should all get together and watch big trouble in little china lol like a lil get together!

I don't know but Eggs place is the interior of the Ghostbusters firehouse that is in SF or LA I forgot which one.

Actually watching BTILC DVD with the directors comments on, John Carpenter says there were some shots in the real Little Chinatown but they also had a built set like the whole alley fight scene between the Wing Kong and Chang Sings was a built set.

They for sure shot on Grant Street in SF, I believe between Pine St. and Clay
St. As I remember, you can see the Four Seas restaurant sign in some of the shots, and that restaurant was still there last time I was down in that neighborhood. The two scenes I remember as being on SF streets are the 'Turn right NOW' scene where they skid the truck sideways, and the early shot of Egg Shen driving the tour bus.
