Looks like it's going to be an adaptation that takes place in modern day, unfortunately. They cut Jack's mullet and gave him an Iphone.

They changed his gun, too. At least they did on the cover. I'm not a stickler for details, but...

LOL Bazooka. I had the same, sinking, feeling ...
Hmmm. According to IMDB this guy wrote an episode of The Shield. Same guy? How can someone who worked on such an awesome show butcher Jack Burton so badly?
Jack is NOT an iPhone packing MMA star! |

The gun doesn't bother me. It wasn't really Jacks gun, it was a gun he came across. I would guess Jack uses whatever weapons are at hand.
Now if they replace his knife.......heads must roll.
Really I am more bothered by the fact that he looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger on that cover. Does that bother anyone else? |

I have to laugh when comic book illustrators overly exaggerate a physique. If Jack Burton was that ripped, he wouldn't need to drive trucks for a living. He'd either be a fitness instructor or a world-famous bodybuilder. |

Yeah, he would be an American Gladiator or something looking like that.
I tried to read the preview, but I couldn't find it on that link. What am I doing wrong? |

What am I doing wrong? | It's flash (or some other equally annoying, under performing, bandwidth hogging technology) based. You have to click on Issue 1 and then put your mouse at the bottom of the window, at which point a little toolbar thingy will pop up and allow you to cycle through the pages. |

Golden Glove.....eh, maybe I can go with that. Married......wow, not what I expected.
And the Pork Chop Express Podcast......okay, just shot me already. |

I read the first 6 pages- this really feels like a Hollywood remake, and that's not necessarily a compliment. I don't know... I kind of like it, but it's not the same thing I watched in a theatre some 23 years ago. |

| This was ok. I wish they kept it like the original though. Either set it in the eighties or made it so that Jack was a little bit older. It's just a shame that the other BTILC comic didn't get the go-ahead. Now that really looked good! |
