Welcome back to the Forum, Ash! Cool (It's been a little quiet, only a few new members recently.)

Well, it is clear from that quote that Anbu2020 did ask for it. Very Happy

Being able to edit his post didn't hurt, either. Wink

Oh, and he's also mistaken in his initial off-topic post. Jackie Chan does occasionally die in his films- (Killer Meteors, Eagle Shadow Fist, Hand of Death, Island of Fire and New Fist of Fury are some examples.)

If anyone's upset that I gave away what happens in those movies, fret not- those movies are really not better than a blank screen.

Yeah, I love Jackie. He is pretty much my hero. But he has made some amazingly bad movies. One might say, Epically bad.

Funny thing is, I just saw "Spy Next Door" and disliked 95% of it. Once or twice there were small flashes of inspiration... which reminded me of his VERY early flicks.

So it seems like he's ending the same way as he started. Sad

Yeah, things have not gone very good in America with the Jackie films.

Rush Hour was all right.
Shang Hai was weak.
Tuxedo, even with a hot Jennifer Love Hewitt being really hot, was bad.
Around the world, yuck

Haven't seen Spy yet, but I can only imagine.

I think my favorite Jackie film action wise, has to be Who Am I? That was a good time.

Who Am I? was pretty good- my only real complaint is that they ought to have developed the environmental aspect a bit more in the African sequences- I know what they were striving for, but it doesn't come across very clearly in the end result.

I just bought Who Am I? on DVD from HKFlix.com the version I bought has the original HK release and the American release on one disc. (I refuse to buy the cut-down Americanized DVDs because they cut way too much out of the movie. I understand if they feel to restructure the film to make it better, but when they start to cut out action sequences, I draw the line!)

I just bought Police Story on Blu-Ray- it looks awesome. I now own the laserdisc, the dvd and now the BD disc. I haven't gotten the special edition, though. (Did I really need four versions of the movie?) Laughing
