I had to vote for leaving it alone- a remake could never recapture the magic, a sequel would probably take a wrong turn (Highlander 2, anyone?) and what could you spinoff and still have the fans' attention? The adventures of Gracie Law? (snort)

hayden christiawhatshisface was a big mistake though. he never seemed too confident with his dialogue or his acting.

If you can get into straight drama, the movie "Shattered Glass" isn't too bad- Hayden's in it, and although he's still a tad whiny. his acting's much better.

I believe Hayden's one of those actors who is only as good as his director. We all know how good Lucas is with actors... Rolling Eyes Wink

Very well said. It's been too long, and the original is too good -- in a way that is very hard to duplicate. Anything they do now will only ruin it.

Of course, I thought the same thing about "Alien" before I saw "Aliens".

Now that I think about it, what if they made a sequel that acknowledged the passage of time? Jack is old and pot-bellied, kind of like Sly in Copland; Egg has been killed in another confrontation with Chinese Black Magic; and Jack's hot, young illegitmate daughter (with Gracie, who is also now dead), needs protection!

P.S.: Dude! You've got to turn down the obscenity filter. I made an innocent suggestion for the actress who could play the daughter (hint: she was in Sin City), and the filter replaced it with "My Mother"!

Done. (That pornographic spammer has been long since banned, anyway.) Wink

I don't know why but i've never cared for Alba's acting ability. but then again, i thought Kim Cattrall could have done much better as gracie law.

Maybe it's just my sharp dislike of the fantastic 4 movie that makes me biased against alba. Rolling Eyes

that said, i found this in the imdb critic section for silver surfer:
Our first impression of the Surfer himself? Since the Four will never win an Oscar, they might as well fight a villain that looks exactly like one.

I haven't seen too many Alba movies, but her general overexposure by the media bores me.
