Silly question first. Is there a karaoke version of the coupe de villes song?
Just in case I wanted new lyrics someday? Wink

I just bought the most recent soundtrack CD and am thrilled with it.
Seems the first 3 notes of track #5 are really close together, unlike the movie. Was that a mastering mistake or did the movie just slow it down?

Finally, regarding the missing music, I'm very happy the airport theme has been doctored up on this site. Smile What about the part where Jack and Wang enter the Wingkong Exchange, swim through the Hell of the Upside Down Sinners, get caught, and meet basketcase Lo Pan? The music was great there. Does anyone have a vocal-reduction of that?

Thanks!

First, welcome to the forum, FJMcCloud! Very Happy

Second, here's your lyrics...

You can feel the wind is risin' baby, now the truth is here
out of the dark they're comin' baby all the things you fear
mmm, we'd better run, runnin' through the mystic night
run until they take us away,
take us away,
take us away
Big trouble in little China
You can feel the thunder movin' baby like an evil dream
and there's nothin' in the world to save us baby, nothing's as it seems
mmm, we'd better run, runnin' through the mystic night
run until they take us away,
take us away,
take us away
Big trouble in little China
We got big trouble here in little China, ah
you can feel the wind is risin' baby, now the truth is here
out of the dark they're comin' baby all the things you fear
mmm, we'd better run, runnin' through the mystic night
run until they take us away,
take us away,
take us away
Big Trouble in little China, ah
we'd better run, runnin' through the mystic night
runnin' through the rolling fire
runnin' through the burning blade
runnin' through the crawling snakes
mmm, runnin' through the midnight flame
run until they take us away,
take us away,
take us away
We got big trouble in little China
We got big trouble in little China

You too, huh? I have the CD and it has the same anomaly. Oddly enough, I also have the soundtrack on cassette and it sounds identical to the movie instead. Confused Don't know what happened there...

Thanks Bazooka! But is there a vocal-less version of the song to sing to? I know it sounds crazy (I can't sing well). I'm just testing the waters for possible parody ideas. (Chicago, eh? Channel 32 is how I discovered BTLC. Smile Now if only I could get Svengoolie on TV out here.)

Ah, Svengoolie- that brings back memories! I remember when he was SON of Svengoolie, first. Those sound bites always cracked me up no end! Laughing

Actually, if you can get your hands on the audio editing software Adobe Audition, there's a feature which allows you to strip out the vocals for karaoke purposes. The end result isn't perfect- the music sounds a bit "hollow" for lack of a better term, but I can't think of anything better at the moment. Smile
