At the end of the fight scene in the "arcade" Egg and a couple surviving yellow turbans are seen firing his mini crystal rocket launcher at that big statue, wasting valuable ammo IMO.

Now was Egg simply defacing a statue of the evil god of the East or was he making sure the Storm Rain was finished off. Remember that, after being impaled by Wang's sword, Rain flew into the hole left by Egg's first rocket launch attempt on Lo Pan. Perhaps Egg needed to insure Rain was dead seeing how dangerous the storms were. Remember too how Thunder survived the point blank grenade blast during the fight. You never can tell with these guys.

I am not quite sure what you are referring to....but, he shot at the exit to close it off so that the bad guys couldn't follow Mao Yin and friends....

The only problem with this take is that after the statue went down Wang ran up the escalator (why there was an escalator there is another thread all together!) and through the hole.

My guess would be that Egg was destroying an evil idol, consecrating the area.

Maybe the destruction of the idol is one of the things that made Lo Pan less powerful/more vulnerable at the end. Or, it could be a grudge held by people of Egg Shen's group.

Obviously Egg had some serious interior decorating talents, and knew that the idol was just all wrong for the look Lo Pan had cultivated in that chamber. Ilt just had to go!

Either that or he just felt the need to blow something up. Vent out frustrations and all that. Very theraputic, I recommend everyone try blowing up an evil idol during their next adventure in Chinatown.
