Can you believe that there are so many other people out there (many of them here) that are fans of BTLC? I watched it when it first came out on VHS, I watched it hundreds of times and quoted it many, many times. I thought I was one of a very small handful of fans...

I was exactly the same way -- I think I pretty much have the whole movie memorized. I discovered this site years ago (maybe 6 or 7 years ago) when it was called "Falcon's BTILC site"....and have been visiting regularly ever since. There were usually a couple of other sites around, but this one was always the best.

Indeed!

I first saw this movie back in the mid-90's one dark and stormy night. It was on one of those movie specials on TNT I think. Not Dinner and a Movie, but it was sort of like that, only monster themed.
Best rainy night of television to date. Cool

I was fortunate enough to see it it the theater back in 1986. It's super-awesome on the big screen, although for it to capture people's attention on the small screen still speaks volumes about the movie. Cool

First, Hello all of you. If any of you think you know me, I am G2K master on tohokingdom and gojisactuary forums...

I am acualy not verry shocked that there are so many fans like me. Because of how long the film has been mentioned in cult circles and movies and documentries and books, the film would gain a cult refrance. And because of my love of this film, I am planning on collecting every piece of OFFICIAL merchandise of the film (don't worry; once I am done will start with the sites Six demon bag to start off my shirt collection). Any thing I should know before I start collecting? And I already know that one of the three releases of the game of Big Trouble in Little China was not released officaly, so, what do you fans say?

I still dunno how this movie never made it big time, when I first saw this as a kid in the 80s everybody loved it and talked about it, and now its all as if it was a massive mistake?!

I knew the fans were out there, its nice this forum has rounded some of em up!

Not one little bit surprised there are so many fans of this movie. It is truly unique.

I first saw it as a young lad of about 6 or 7. Me and my cousins thought it was so cool, and loved the kung fu and the crazy magic. As I got older, I began to realise just how good the story was, and of course how amazing a character Jack was. He is a one off. A hero without a clue. A true original with the best dialogue I have ever heard for one person. I mean practically every word is gold. I quote him regularly and whether its the funny lines or the macho ones, there all pure magic.

I have come accross a few lads in my town who remember it as a silly kung fu movie from the 80's but after checking it out on my say so, they realise just how amazing it is. I been spreading the Gospel According to Jack for a good twelve years now, and don't intend on stopping anytime soon....

LOVE THIS MOVIE.................................

Yeah, Kurt Russel really does turn every Jack Burton line into gold. I ended up putting the movie on my phone so I can watch it anytime I need a laugh. So good.
