Was that the only JC film during that period that JC didn't score?

"Starman" was composed by Jack Nitsche, and for some reason I'm compelled to think that Carpenter collaborated with Shirley Walker on "Memoirs of an Invisible Man"- but don't take that as fact until we find out for sure! Smile

Know what is funny is in the commentary on BTiLC Kurt Russel and John Carpenter talk about the music and Kurt is like "Wow that's you, I didn't know you could get your voice so low" and John is like "I can, that is me". I don't remember the exact wording.

But the funny part is that I think Kurt is kind of laughing at the song but trying to say something good and not offend John. Carpenter of course is oblivious as he believes everything he does is gold and if you don't think it is then there is something wrong with you.

Amazon's got a handful of 2-disc sets.

Of course, they're a tad pricey, but that's typical of out-of-stock items.

As it turns out, it appears that Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez approached Carpenter to do the score for Grindhouse (the Planet Terror segment). However, for some reason Carpenter was replaced for a reason not stated... Confused

BTILC is one of my favorites of his too, also EFNY and Christine.

I have the two disc set, I hate when they make a good dvd set then bring out the cheap dvd later but I am ok with a cheap discs then the better edition because they like to see how well they do in sales.

That is too much for a used dvd.
