I don't speak Russian, so the end dialogue went over my head... Wink

However, their stuntwork was breathtaking. Very Happy Of course, this stuff is not new- I've seen numerous gymnastic examples like this in Hong Kong films dating back to the mid-1980's!!! Shocked

What does impress me though, is the fact that a generation ago, guys like this were rare. Now, when a small amount of people can do something most of us believe to be physically impossible, that number of people will grow.

Which leads me to think: What will humans be capable of in another 20 years? Shocked

Thanks for the link! Very Happy

That is pretty incredible -- the guy must have insane upper body strength to be able to do some of those moves.

Whoah, just watched that video now- and, just like the movie "Breakin'", it was done before... but I give this guy lots of credit, because his moves are more impressive than "Shabba-Doo's" and "Boogaloo Shrimp's" were... Wink

Speaking of Breakin', there was an old internet joke floating around how the sequel's name, "Electric Boogaloo" sounds GREAT for just about any movie.

Therefore, I propose to refer to the BTiLC sequel from now on as, "Big Trouble in Little China 2: Electric Boogaloo" Wink

That actually makes sense, because there's no point in making the sequel's title too "top heavy" with words! Smile

Therefore, I amend my previous statement and will only use it when referring to potential sequels for other Carpenter flicks:

"The Thing 2: Electric Boogaloo"
"Starman 2: Electric Boogaloo"
"Prince of Darkness 2: Electric Boogaloo"

(Besides, those are funnier anyway!) Very Happy

It's weird, a buddy of mine back in college who was a fellow Carpenter fan LOVED the movie, claiming it was one of Carpenter's best. I admit that that particular film does pack an emotional wallop, moreso than any others of his. (Okay, I cried a little bit at the end- but just a little!) Wink

You usually don't see Carpenter's movies dealing with a topic like lost love so strongly, I tend to find his works are more enjoyable popcorn flicks. I also separate this one because it's one of the few films where someone else scored the movie instead. (Jack Nitsche, I think, although I might be mistaken. I'm writing this before I run off to work, so I don't have time to check www.IMDB.com anyway!) Smile

Hmmm....I think I must challenge the "Electric Boogaloo" axiom -- unless of course, these titles pass muster:

Schindler's List 2: Electric Boogaloo
Brokeback Mountain 2: Electric Boogaloo
Million Dollar Baby 2: Electric Boogaloo

Laughing

Those are quite good Laughing

However, I must add:

Star Wars Episode 7: Electric Boogaloo
Titanic 2: Electric Boogaloo
Citizen Kane 2: Electric Boogaloo
Passion of the Christ 2: Electric Boogaloo
Indiana Jones and the Electric Boogaloo
