You should have been here about three years ago- this place was really alive back then- it's a ghost town by comparison nowadays...

Welcome to the forum, by the way! Very Happy

P.S. - Any scene with Jack Burton qualifies as my favorite.

welcome jtl26. Don't tell Bazooka Goof, but the Ghost Town feel of this site was done on purpose. We are hoping to acquire enough supernatural baggage to force Jack Burton himself to save us. All part of the plan to lure the Pork Chop express to the WKE. Very Happy

Picking a favorite scene is hard. But I have a moment that I am quite fond of. One that most other people don't seem to appreciate.

After Jack runs LoPan over and gets out of his truck. He is blinded by LoPan's super powered light eyes. The dialog that follows kills me everytime.

Wang "Don't look at him"
Jack "I already did"
Wang "Don't"
Jack "I won't"

He says I wont after he already looked Laughing Laughing Laughing ......kills me. Kurt has great delivery.

Sorry if I got any of those quotes wrong. I was laughing to hard to think straight.

It's hard to pick fuill scenes, because the whole film is a miracle of enjoyment.

However, I could say that top areas are:

1) The airport-funeral-Lords of Death-Storms take out everybody sequence

2) The final fight until they escape in the truck

Mine is when that monster comes out of the hole and eats that poor dude.

Egg Shen: It will come out no more!
Jack Burton: What?! Huh?! What'll come out no more?!
Egg Shen: Come on!
Jack Burton: Dammit!

Gotta go with the restaurant scene.

"And I don't want to hear act of god"
"what does that mean? I don't even know what that means."

Yeah, that one kills me.

What does that mean? Huh? "China is here." I don't even know what the hell that means.

I like that one too. Another one that I've always liked:

Jack: Look, I am a reasonable guy but I've just experienced some very unreasonable things.

Gracie: It depends on how you look at it!

Jack: The hell it does....so SOMEBODY....I don't care WHO tell ME what the hell is going on around here!

Wang: The truth!

Jack: I can take it!

The scene where they drink the potion. A small group of new and old friends about to fight a small army with gods and monsters on a virtual suicide mission, stop to enjoy a drink first. "May the wings of liberty never lose a feather." Best scene in cinema.

Btw, Peter Kwong liked the scene best, and he's not even in it.

The whole enchilada.
There are elements from the movie that have inspired bits and pieces in a tabletop RP game (Feng Shui Everyman Hero, to name one) I use the whole 'If the Everyman Hero has a gun, and shoots it in the air... it's gonna be a Jack Burton moment.'
So many scenes to love.

So hard to pick just one. Jack is the greatest character in movie history to me, every word he speaks is hillarious!!
But I gotta go for....

GRACIE: I'd come with you but...
JACK: I know, theres a problem with your face... Very Happy Laughing Very Happy

The way he says it cracks me up. And recently when I bought this for my brother and good friend, they both txt me to say man that line is brilliant!!!

Jack: Not so fast gentlemen.
Lo Pan: Is it too much to ask, Thunder? Kill him, for me!
Jack: Won't solve anything Dave. Too many people around here been droppin' like flies already and where's that getting us, huh? Nowhere. Fast!
Ahh... You know what ol' Jack Burton says at a time like this?
Thunder: Who?!
Jack: Jack Burton... Me!
*Wang somersaults into the room and gives Jack a nod, posed for KUNG FU! (So awesome.)*
Jack: Old Jack always says... What the hell?

It's not necessarily the best scene but it's up there.
Other good scenes: Whenever Thunder talks and anytime Jack says 'What the hell?!'
