Hmm.
Some strange moments in this OST.
Why for example first 3 notes from Pork Chop Express (Main Title) so disharmoniously?
Or...The Alley (War). So streched intro. Why?

I'm still debating on whether or not to pick one up. I've been out of work for a year, and the cash is dwindling. That, and I already bought an import of the soundtrack about two years ago that included some bonus tracks.

Decisions, decisions... Wink

2 Bazooka Goof

If you like for example Airport theme, or some others theme from film, which not included in expanded ost - than this 2cd ost is very good stuff for you Smile

Just one lack of this soundtrack - aggressive re-mastering.

As I wrote - some themes have strange disharmoniously notes, and many experiments in comparison with the original music.

Here is examples.

www.hot.ee/flamberg59/Untitled.mp3 - this is from old release

www.hot.ee/flamberg59/Untitled1.mp3 - this is from new

Not so big trouble i think, but this strange things have some others tracks.
The Final Escape (Lo Pan's Demise / Getaway) for example
The Alley (War) have very stresched intro with percussion beats.

But in whole this is fantastic release, which have ALL music from film.

P/S I think that will make for myself compilation of old and new releases.

The fact that ALL the music is there (including the elusive Airport abduction scene) is killing me. (Like living in the Hell of Broken iPods.)

I'll wait until tax time, and if I get a refund of any sort, I'll treat myself. If all the CDs are sold out by then, I guess I get to eat another few days.

Either way, I win. Sort of. Confused

Yeah, I noticed that too when I listened the first time... a remastering glitch, most likely. There was an instance of that in the Supertracks release where some notes were played fast during the intro of the Wing Kong infiltration sequence. I didn't notice any other problems though - a fun soundtrack overall.

Yay, I just received my autographed copy of this 2-disc OST in the mail - what a treat! It absolutely amazes me that this brilliant yet completely under the radar flick continues to deliver goodies like this to its (growing) cult following. This movie means the world to me because it is a link to my childhood (and I'm sure others feel likewise).
Thanks for the cd and this site.
All the best,

Tim (in Denmark)
