Hmmm, are these the same extras as the 2-disc edition, or is it new?

The isolated score track is new, the rest of te extras are the same as the US dvd release. Note however that the dvd also included some text based extras (production notes, interactive magazine articles and cast & crew biographies) which are not on the blu-ray.

If you live in Europe the Beneath Chinatown deleted scene and the tv spots are also new.

much more importantly, how is the transfer of the actual movie? has the video or dts audio track been noticably remastered for this release?

Cool an isolated score track, I heard about it a little bit at the John Carpenter forum.

Gosgirl's 2 posts looked strangely familiar- I looked in the threads and found she simply copied someone else's post and reposted it. She can peddle her crap elsewhere, nobody here wants it. Twisted Evil

Those poor spammers, wandering into the Wing Kong Exchange, the most cutthroat den of madmen on the Internets: they think they'll be able to waltz in and out of here like the wind. Then the elevator door opens, and Bazooka says, "I can help you."

That comment makes my afternoon! LOL

Is the blu ray of the movie better? I don't own blu ray player but will buy this as a fan. What I have read so far is not impressing me.... Sad

How about this one? How many Storms does it take to screw in a light bulb?

They don't screw in light bulbs; they screw in Lo Pan's underground lair!

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!

(sound of crickets)

Well, they can't ALL be gems, can they? Rolling Eyes Wink

Oh, and in asnwer to the question, the picture & sound quality of the Blu-Ray should be equivalent to an actual film print of the movie; about as crystal-clear as you can get. I haven't seen the Big Trouble Blu-Ray dvd, but I've seen Blu-Ray in action and it is indeed a sight to behold. Smile
