The king of all horror/Sci-fi remakes! I think it's John Carpenter's second best after Halloween and has stood up well.

I think the The Thing is great, but I believe it to be superior to Halloween. (Probably not an objective reason, but I can't help but think of the countless sequels that cheapened the whole Halloween story.)

I think the OP must have meant, "I think it's John Carpenter's second best after BTILC." Wink

And The Thing is my 2nd favorite too. Also high on my list is They Live.

And yeah, I know we already have a thread for this, but who cares ? Laughing

To be fair to the thread starter, he was talking about Remakes. BTiLC is one of a kind. So technically, not in the same category as the thing. Very Happy
