When I think about it, most of my favourites come from the 80s, so I'll go with that.

Seriously, even before I saw BTILC I though the 80s were good.

This Is Spinal Tap
Akira
Repo Man
Scarface
The Thing
Escape From New York
The Blues Brothers

etc

The only films from your list I haven't seen are The Goonies and Stir Crazy- otherwise, a good list (I liked those myself.)

You prefer Timothy Dalton as Bond, then? Cool

I haven't seen Daniel Craig yet, so I can't vote on him- and Pierce Brosnan's movies really sucked, in my humble (but professional) opinion.

I still dig Connery and Moore, each for different reasons, but Dalton definitely has his moments. The guy has intensity! Cool

Oh yeah, and Lazenby also sucked. Wink

What kind of James Bond lets his love interest do the stunt driving for him? Also, he lets the bad guy get away (after blowing away his bride!) Mad

Another member here (Ustace bhaggs) hates On Her Majestys' Secret Service- he told me the beach fight proves he is not James Bond, because Lazenby says "this never happened to the other guy".

What other guy could he be referring to? JAMES BOND! Therefore, George Lazenby ain't no Bond! Laughing

Yep. But lots of my favorite movies have crappy sequals.

James Bond Series - OHMSS, Tomorrow Never Dies, and Die Another Day all suck
Alien Series - 3 and 4 suck
Terminator Series - 3 sucks
Predator - 2 sucks
The Matrix Series - 3 sucks
Star Wars - All the new ones (They're just way too flooded with special effects that they didn't feel real anymore Sad)
Jaws - 3 and 4 sucked
Tremors - 3 sucked and 2&4 didn't really work wonders either
Halloween - oh brother
Romancing the Stone - Jewel of the Nile was piss poor
Blues Brothers - why the sequal???
Pitch Black - Chronicles of Riddick should have had a different ending (otherwise its ok)
Rambo - 2 and 3 were not very good
Jurassic Park - 2 and 3 suck
Mission Impossible - 1 and 2 were boring

Yeah, i'm a big critic but whatever

Hell, aren't we all? Wink

I did like Alien 4- I thought it was hilarious!
If I understand your list, you liked Matrix Reloaded but not Revolutions? (If so, we share the same opinion on that trilogy too.)

the reason 2 was better than 3 was because of the huge chase scene and the fight in the chateau. By the 3rd one Neo is all screwed up and the final fight in Zion was really long and boring.

Yeah- I love that highway chase and the chateau fight. I also dig the Agent Smith fight on the playground, too- Part 3 really isn't a whole lot of fun like 2 was. Sad

P.S. - We're a bit off-topic, but since we're the only ones posting lately we can let it slide! Wink

That's true, but getting off-topic usually leads to the better discussions. Besides, if we stayed on topic, this post chain would probably die. Shocked

Ummmm.... Da Bears?

I find it intriguing that the current century isn't even an option!

The 80's were good, but there was Superman II and III... which spawned the genre of crappy sequels!
